Introductory Statement
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board believes leadership and excellence are important at all levels within the organization. The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is committed to:

  • Developing and enhancing leadership competencies
  • Assisting interested candidates in the process of becoming a vice-principal, principal, supervisory officer or manager.

Why sign up for the program?
The Leadership Program is for staff employed by Keewatin-Patricia District School Board who are interested in developing and enhancing personal skills and/or considering future leadership roles with the Board.

Who should sign up?
Anyone interested in:

  • Leading an initiative in your workplace.
  • Working effectively on school or board committees.
  • Pursuing an administrative or managerial position.

What does the program include?

  • Commitment to Covey Training "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Leadership"
  • Commitment to 15 hours of training and /or Saturday skill building sessions to develop leadership competencies
  • Participation through application
  • Limit of 10 applicants
  • For those interested in pursuing a school administrative role, addition sessions on curriculum leadership and school management may be offered.
  • Certificate of completion
