The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, in its six secondary schools, provides programming for pupils both on and off-site. With students opting for courses at academic, applied, and essential level courses; in addition to lifeskills courses for appropriate students, the KPDSB is able to meet the needs of its varied student demographic. Supporting students through classroom teachers, special education resource teachers, guidance counsellors, student success teachers, student literacy support teachers and school administration, the KPDSB can proudly attest to a five year graduation rate that meets the provincial expectation of 85%.
In addition to regular provincial curriculum content, the KPDSB is widely recognized for providing First Nation students with a robust Aboriginal and Native studies course offerings. With secondary schools in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, Kenora, Pickle Lake and Ignace, students within jurisdiction of the Keewatin Patricia District School Board can expect to be well prepared from secondary school to post secondary in the 21st century.
