On October 26th, 2026, Municipal and School Board elections will be held across Ontario. KPDSB deeply values the voice of its community members—make sure your voice is heard so you can make a difference in our schools! 

Election Resources

Are you interested in becoming a school trustee? Trustees play an important role in bridging the gap between the community and the public education system. As a trustee, you will be responsible for budget review (providing financial oversight on the annual budget), community advocacy (bringing local community interests to the school board and provincial government), and student success (promoting initiatives that focus on student achievement and wellbeing). If interested, fill out the Nomination Paper - Form 1 above by Friday, August 21st, 2026, by 2 p.m. and submit it to your municipality's Clerk/Returning Officer.

Did you know that Elections Ontario allows electors to confirm whether or not they are on the Preliminary List of Electors? The Preliminary List of Electors is necessary to prepare the Voters’ List for election day. If you want to be listed as an eligible elector for the upcoming Municipal and School Board elections, you can contact Elections Ontario using one of the methods below.
