2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR 

PLEASE NOTE - On February 10, 2021, the Ontario Government announced they will be postponing the 2021 March Break from March 15-19, 2021, to April 12-16, 2021 (a delay of four weeks).  March 15-18, 2021, will now be a regular week in all of our schools and students are expected to attend with March 19 being a new PA Day (the PA Day was originally April 23, 2021, but was moved to March following the announcement of moving the March Break).  The calendar below has been updated to reflect these changes.

For families wishing to switch between in-person learning and remote learning (or vice versa) during the 2020-2021 School Year, please be aware of dates (below) when those changes can be made.

Elementary Change Dates To Switch Between In-person and Remote Learning

Please note - Families must notify their child’s school two weeks prior to these dates to change the delivery model for their child

  • November 2, 2020 - Families to notify schools of their intent to switch models by October 19, 2020
  • February 1, 2021 - Families to notify schools of their intent to switch models by January 18, 2021

Secondary Change Dates To Switch Between In-person and Remote Learning

  • November 12, 2020 - Families to notify schools of their intent to switch models by October 29, 2020
  • February 1, 2021 - Families to notify schools of their intent to switch models by January 18, 2021

2021-2022 draft SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR - pending ministry of education approval

 At the February 2021 Regular Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the Draft 2021-2022 School Year Calendar.  The draft calendar has now been sent to the Ministry of Education for final approval.  Please note that the calendar remains as a draft until Ministry approval is received. The 2021-2022 School Year Calendar is created by the Regional School Year Calendar Committee which is comprised of representatives from all area school boards.  The committee uses results from a survey each year to help create the calendar, to view the 2021-2022 School Year Calendar Survey Results, please click here.
